Fitness Tip of the Week: Pilates Roll Ups – From Easy To Hard

The Roll Up is a classic Pilates exercise that helps develop stronger abdominal muscles and a more flexible spine.

These 5 variations will help you learn to do the exercise correctly and progress at a safe pace.

1️⃣ Modified Roll Up – perfect for beginners
2️⃣ Classic Roll Up – with a tall seated pose at the end of the roll up versus the traditional forward flexion!
3️⃣ Band Assisted Roll Up – helps you learn to slow the articulation down
4️⃣ Shoulder Stabilizing Ring Roll Up – engages upper body muscles for a more full body exercise
5️⃣ Hands Free Challenge – a tough variation for the experienced!

Breathing, alignment, control, precision and centering are always principles to follow in every variation.
